Notes from our April board meeting:

• Quick intros - welcome, Derek!

  • Attendees: Caitlin, Natalie, Emily, Derek

• Day of Service

  • Peter arranged for us to participate with Clean the World on May 9th - morning shift - 6 spots, can change that

  • Clean the world

    • Board agreed to go with this event for 5/9

    • Make an event page + Airtable form

    • Get with Mike about announcing transition via email

    • Get with Nikki about April email to share details of Outpost Tavern event and Day of Service on 5/9

  • Jonathan’s Landing idea (Caitlin’s contact) - revisit if we need it later this year as another volunteer opportunity

• New student welcome

  • Maybe early June target?

  • Med school did something similar

  • Include professional schools

  • People new to the area

  • Coming & Going party (admitted students + graduated students coming into the area)

    • No Father’s Day - beginning or end of June target

    • Proposed date: 6/6 at 10 AM

    • Location?

      • Outpost tavern near Lake Eola

      • Emily to give owner heads up - maybe don’t need reservations per Emily’s research

    • Let YAA know so we can get the swag - stickers for each group

      • Caitlin to email Stephanie about the swag
